If I were a bum, I would drink all your wine
and sing by your food
for a small little change
When I plant a tree and it’s tall as can be,
hope I had a life,
worth more than silver and gold

under the stones, once the river flowed
in the moon painted night,
she was dancing around
just like a child, careless and free
can we grow wise, when I am older?

behind the door, she sat on the ledge
between her mother-like self and
her dreams from the past
the sky was still blue
as the blue jays that flew
with her tears that made her fearlessly true
